Data correction must start at the school or district office (for public schools) location first where the student is currently enrolled. The incorrect data needs to be corrected in the local system and then resubmitted to NYSED through their Level 1 data center to avoid continued resubmission of the incorrect data.
Schools/Districts should contact their location's current contracted Level 1 data center that your school/district submits data through to report the data issue. The administrator(s) at your location's current contracted Level 1 data center will be able to submit corrections to all systems including NYSSIS for schools/districts.
