To access higher education data collection forms, staff at a higher education location (College or University) can be given direct access to the IDEx by their CEO or Director on file in SEDREF for their location. Higher Education locations should search for their listing in SEDREF with the NYSED SEDREF Location Public Query to review all location information and administrative contacts.
- Higher Education CEO updates have to be emailed to higheredsupport@nysed.gov with an attached document (MS Word/PDF) containing the following:
- University/College letterhead
- CEO title
- CEO full name
- CEO work email address
- CEO work phone
- Other higher education administrative staff positions on file in SEDREF can be updated in the IDEx application by the CEO or Director
If the Higher Education CEO or the Higher Education Director does NOT have an account, they should make sure they are listed in SEDREF for their location with the NYSED SEDREF Location Public Query and then email their account request to higheredsupport@nysed.gov with the same information needed that is listed above for a CEO account request.
If the Higher Education CEO account or the Higher Education Director account does NOT have access to the IDEx application, they should email higheredsupport@nysed.gov to request their account to be granted access. Please include the following in the access request:
- Location BEDS code (can be found with the NYSED SEDREF Location Public Query)
- Location name
- Account owner's full name
- Account username used to login at https://portal.nysed.gov/
The Higher Education location CEO or Director should log in at https://portal.nysed.gov/ and use the SED Delegated Account System (SEDDAS) to create and/or entitle staff accounts as needed.
